Last blogged @ 4:49 PM  Just came back from class chalet at Sentosa! Was feeling dead tired after not sleeping the entire night, but my nap after I reached home only lasted a mere 3 hours :( We were really blessed with good weather, and I spent the afternoon with the girls by the beach side taking hilarious jumpshots with my polaroid. Then meeting up with the other classmates to chill and talk.   Chalet was so tiny it was more like a hotel room, with only 1 queen sized bed and a toilet lol. So people were all squeezing on it trying to watch tv, play dai dee, snack and getting sand all over the floor and bed.  We didn't had a BBQ, and most people left on the first night, so the rest of us were shuffling between sleep, talking, snacking, watching trashy shows on tv and finally concussed in the morning. Amazing how the entire bed could fit 5-6 people to sleep.  Seemed like we didn't do much the entire 2 days, but at least being in Sentosa made us feel like we were somewhat overseas. And love the girls for the company :)

Last blogged @ 2:04 AM I have come to the point where I have unofficially graduated from SP. It's been a whole 3 years, doing countless tutorials, projects and presentations, studying for so so many tests and exams and now... time flies (or actually not, because during this 3 years, I / we have waited for this day for so long - from 36 months of school to now, 0) and it's time I'm going to leave SP. Truthfully speaking, it's more of excitement and anticipation rather than sadness.
Entering SP wasn't because I liked it. I've never knew how it looked like until I stepped into the school for the first time after posting results were out. But entering events was my 1st choice, which pretty much decided that I have to enter SP. I was not excited for my first day or orientation / school (I still am not excited if I have to go back to school now). I made my first friend, Cherlyn, through Facebook. I still remember what I wore (and was proud that I had nice clothes to wear), when we had our first break together at FC2, meeting new friends outside and inside class, getting lost in ABE because of the rain. Oh gosh, we still do get lost in school after 3 years nonetheless. Came new lecturers who scared us on our first day of school by telling us that Events is everything, but easy. And came pouring assignments which definitely made us all feel that we chose the wrong course. I remember feeling ridiculously homesick with my friends when in school, and telling mum that I wanted to change my course. But I guess all became better after a semester, though we never broke the habit of going home straight after school throughout all 3 years. Naturally, days passed and finding clothes to wear became a chore. Trying to avoid repetitive clothes just resulted in atrocious fashion sense. Sigh what was I even thinking... Wanting to not wear slippers because it was "unsightly" and "disrespectful" just became too much of a bother. CCAs were bothersome. They started late and ended late. Or started really early and didn't give me CCA points lol. Wanted to find something that interest me, but I guess I didn't really care after that. I just wanted to go home and sleep everyday, yupp. Applying for Gems was never pleasant. They were scary and felt a whole lot like taking a roller coaster ride. Waking up early in the morning to camp in front of the computer, to see your desired elective being stolen by other idiots, sigh. And you had to settle for something you didn't want to, and struggle week after week, while being in a class full of unfamiliar faces and awkwardness. Those people never became your friends and you never ever see or talk to them around in school. So, managing to finish my Dip Plus course is probably one of the few proud assets I have. Other than that, I guess school was just coming for lessons, having lunch breaks, fooling around in class, sleeping in class, then taking a long train ride home.  Throughout the 3 years, our class wasn't really close and was really quiet, so we stuck to our own cliques most of the time. We've been through group politics, and ultimately the ones that stuck through with me were Bimchies ;) 
Every school day, we'll meet, without fail at the Love Bridge, before we go to class together (other than times when Naz would be late lol). We did every single group project together, went for lunches together, did events together and celebrated birthdays together. I also had my first overseas trip with Cherlyn and Naz and it was mad fun. We ended each test and exam with celebratory meals, talked about stupid stuff and shared gossips. Together, we wrote new year wishes on white wishing balls which were thrown into the Singapore river. And we literally grew old(er) together.
Apart from my already very boring life in school, interestingly enough, I got to know the boyf. Yeah true enough people say I might have known him because he's my neighbour yada yada. But SP did play a part in creating chances for him to meet me (and vice versa) ^^ Otherwise, why would we not have met 10 years ago! So thank you SP for giving me a traveling partner to school and back, and letting me meet my boyf so at least I have some additional fond memories.

And other than that, I'm thankful for having to be in DEPM 02 for the past 3 years. We never did many things as a class, other than our few gatherings for site visits and an overseas KL trip. As much as we always have differing opinions, but I wouldn't imagine myself being in another class where I may not have fit in as well.
 
Sigh, look at how much older and different we've grown.
While poly hasn't been very fruitful and interesting, I still wouldn't have chosen the JC path back then. Despite everything, I've appreciated what I've learnt and truly gained a lot, I wouldn't really want to trade them for anything else.
There's so much more that I've done, so much more I've to say, but really, it's impossible to describe it all in one post.

Last blogged @ 12:31 AM I'm so terrible I haven't done a single post for entire of January, but school has been really busy, I haven't got the time to do anything other other than to sleep.
But come to think of it, I haven't did anything significant since the year started, which also explains why there isn't a need to blog. In short, I'm coming to my last week (or day) of school, before the tests and exams start, and it's really exciting because my poly life is finally coming to an end!!! Getting all prepped up for Graduation!!! Some of my more interesting life events for the past month: Satisfied brunch craving at Prive with boyf! My motive was to try their pancakes, but in the end... Glorious eggs benedict yums. I wouldn't mind going back there again and again cus thinking of that place makes me just happy. Oh, food. 
've been revisiting Ice Cream Chefs again ever since Udders opened. Just went back again (after the 1st time with the girls) for the ice cream waffles as a reward to the boyf for finishing his FYP. So proud of him ;)
 And just had Cheng's belated birthday dinner at Strictly Pancakes. And the best thing was the birthday girl didn't eat anything at all wth, while we all feasted in thick fat pancakes which was too much for all of us to handle *rubs tummy*  Even though our gatherings are getting smaller and smaller each time round, but still love these girls very much ♥ Oh and lastly, I finally drove for the first time after getting my license!!! Need to try to drive more before mum is willing to lend me the car!!! Ok so for this entire month, I'm going to spend CNY studying for my last papers in SP. But I still hope I get lots of ang paos. Gimme gimme gimme! Bye!

LEGOLAND MALAYSIA TODAY!!!
Just came back from a 1 day trip to Legoland with Gwee, Diana, Vivian, Jiayan & her sis,
 And mummy and bro!!!  Didn't quite know what to expect because knowing that most of the rides are catered for kids, I still hoped that it would be very fun. But very thankful that we were blessed with good weather the entire day! Getting a little excited at the entrance cus the park looked really huge and there were 40 over rides to cover.  But Legoland was really really crowded today, everywhere was filled with people. Had to skip the first few attractions, before deciding to go on the Dragon Apprentice roller coaster ride even though the queue was still really long.  Only until the point where we reached our turn, then we realised that we were not queuing for the most thrilling roller coaster. But we started with the more chillax one anyway. Lunch was cheese sausages & chicken leg with fries at Knight's Feast. No pictures cus everyone just started eating. Drizzled a little but it stopped before we finished our lunch so all was fine.  Then we headed for the Dragon's Kingdom roller coaster (this time the thrilling one!!!) right after lunch since the queue seemed shorter, and we used queuing time to digest our lunch (which thankfully did not turn into indigestion due to anxiety and stomach churning).  Us while queuing...  I think the Human Ride at USS made me much braver, because I didn't feel as nervous as before. But nonetheless, still screamed really really loud. I remember feeling so tired from screaming halfway through the ride, but not doing so made me scared. Headed for the 4D show after that. Don't understand why it's so highly raved about, because it wasn't interesting at all.  Queue was long, as usual. The holding area was so crowded and humid, and we had to squeeze like sardines for a good whole 20 minutes before we could enter the theatre. People were pushing, and I ended up sitting alone. There wasn't sufficient / helpful staff on site either.  Show wise, I was expecting much more effects. How can the chair not move when it's a 4D show!!! Cus I was sitting on the last row, we (plus mum and bro) couldn't experience the water effects either. So much thoughts for a 15 minute attraction lol. Only the kids enjoyed it very much. Good for them.    Scorching sun calls for some Ice Cream to save the day!  Was very sad that this water slide attraction was not open due to unknown reasons!!! Boooooo.  Moving on... We spent some time at MiniLand, taking photos of all the famous countries landmarks. Probably the only place where you can see a lot of lego bricks in the entire LegoLand (apart from the few lego models pictured above). Ain't a huge fan of legos, so they don't excite me as much hmm.  But the MiniLand on Singapore was done up quite beautifully, featuring our CBD area, boat quay and Singapore Flyer.

  Didn't have much time left so we decided to go for our last attraction, Project X, the last roller coaster in LegoLand.  Had to queue for a good whole 1 hour, and we were all tired and aching like old women. Plus the ride had technical faults, so many people gave up and left, while we waited and waited for them to get it fixed and tested before the queue started moving again. By then we were all too exhausted to feel nervous for the ride. But when we got on the ride, we started screaming again lol. Spent our last half an hour visiting the gift shops. Got myself a huge Cookie Monster Sundae while waiting for the rest, and sitting on the floor outside the shop with mummy fanning ourselves cus we were dying from the heat.  And that concludes our 1 day Legoland trip! Frankly speaking, Legoland fell below my expectations. For the entire day (about 6 hours), we covered only 3 rides and 1 show. The entire theme park wasn't full of lego bricks as how its name suggests it to be. Other than the MiniLand, which forms the centrepiece of LegoLand and an occasional few lego models around, it doesn't form an impression that you are in LegoLand. Rather, it easily feels like any other theme park you can find anywhere. Probably also because there ain't any significant characters that LegoLand is linked to, unlike Disneyland you have Winnie the Pooh, and USS you have transformers, etc. There isn't a storyline attached to the entire theme park. Even though I said we were blessed with good weather (still very thankful for that!), but the queuing areas were really way too humid, and the few number of fans weren't much of a help. Wouldn't think that it would be unfair to use USS as a benchmark, since both theme parks are well known internationally. But for the same price, I would definitely prefer USS hands down, in terms of level of interest, appeal and welfare for the visitors. Yes, LegoLand needs to improve on their toilet cleanliness. The stench is very very bad. Probably have to choose a non-peak season the next time if I'm ever visiting again. Seemed like I wrote a rather negative post about LegoLand, but... Nonetheless, am still thankful for this opportunity to spend a good day out with my girls and my family, making this a memorable last Friday of 2012! Haven't blogged in a really long while, because I've been doing the same thing every other day since school started.
So it's break now, and I'm working at Mum's office (again!). I'm bored, so I'm trying to churn out a blog post. She doesn't like me to talk to her because I'm supposed to treat her like my superior. So meh.

Before we had our (last) MST, the class took our class photos for our Yearbook and we came up with the bathroom-PJs theme hence all our PJs and soft toys. Probably also the first time the class was enthu over a particular matter.
And as usual, after our last paper, had a celebratory dinner with Cherlyn and Pei Min at Fullhouse! I think what makes the place appealing is its interior design. Since the whole place was designed like a home, it had different areas like the living room, study room, entertainment room, party room, balcony, etc.
 A pity we could only sit in the party room where it's rather bare cus apparently the place was really "fullhouse". Service wise was rather unsatisfactory. You never ever wave your customers towards you like they're your pets >:  Ordered the Wok-Sear Chicken Chop - Grilled chicken thigh served with mashed potato, italy vegetables (really? Not cai xin meh?) and black pepper raisin. Food wasn't bad, but not much to rave about either. - Weekend was spent going back to The Fabulous Baker Boy for their Velvet Cake because it's so fabulous, it's to die for!!!  And their iced tea mmmmmmm ;) Place was really crowded, I didn't know you had to make reservations on weekends. We were lucky, so we had the last empty table, but had to share with this another pair - the woman was really strange. Boyf said she's an air stewardess, but I've to add, a really crude and loud one hmmm. Adorable picture of my Tummy sitting at the door waiting for mum to come back on Monday night lol.

Last sem of school has started, 2 weeks ago. Graduation feels so close!!! Still remember counting down the number of months left till graduation when I was in Year 1 (36 months), now... I'm just technically 4 more months till I unofficially graduate! ^^
So after 8 months of not seeing ABE, my school has now become this:
 Truly built environment. No more emptier FC1, or yums yong tau foo. Couple of things that have happened over the past 2 weeks: Celebrated Pei Min's 19th Birthday with a cake! Also had sushi at Shin Tokyo after our site visit at Archifest. But the service was so meh, and the sushi wasn't fantastic. We only had a few varieties, they only made newer varieties when we were about to leave :(   Playing at the swing @ Archifest lol 
Then came the long weekend, really spent some quality time with people :)
Went for the Wedding Dress Exhibition @ National Museum with the boy, since it was free admission.
But frankly speaking, it was quite a letdown. The more I looked, the more they looked like curtains. I don't know how to appreciate old Victorian style dresses.
Then we took a long walk to Fort Canning Park to try the cakes @ The Fabulous Baker Boy. Got to know about them during site visit at Archifest,
Got to chill over red velvet cake, latte and iced tea yums. Cake was little pricey, but yums. The iced tea was nice tooooo.
 ♥ Celebrated Diana's birthday on Saturday! She sprained her ankle, so we gave her a surprise at her doorstep!!  And... I did my (last) NAPFA in school!!! Gosh totally aching right now. And I found out I got a bronze just because of my 2.4km ~.~ meh.  But so proud of my classmates and myself for completing everything!!! Now to endure the muscle aches...  Alright... will be back in a couple of weeks time!  |
