Last blogged @ 12:31 AM I'm so terrible I haven't done a single post for entire of January, but school has been really busy, I haven't got the time to do anything other other than to sleep.
But come to think of it, I haven't did anything significant since the year started, which also explains why there isn't a need to blog. In short, I'm coming to my last week (or day) of school, before the tests and exams start, and it's really exciting because my poly life is finally coming to an end!!! Getting all prepped up for Graduation!!! Some of my more interesting life events for the past month: Satisfied brunch craving at Prive with boyf! My motive was to try their pancakes, but in the end... Glorious eggs benedict yums. I wouldn't mind going back there again and again cus thinking of that place makes me just happy. Oh, food.
've been revisiting Ice Cream Chefs again ever since Udders opened. Just went back again (after the 1st time with the girls) for the ice cream waffles as a reward to the boyf for finishing his FYP. So proud of him ;)
And just had Cheng's belated birthday dinner at Strictly Pancakes. And the best thing was the birthday girl didn't eat anything at all wth, while we all feasted in thick fat pancakes which was too much for all of us to handle *rubs tummy* Even though our gatherings are getting smaller and smaller each time round, but still love these girls very much ♥ Oh and lastly, I finally drove for the first time after getting my license!!! Need to try to drive more before mum is willing to lend me the car!!! Ok so for this entire month, I'm going to spend CNY studying for my last papers in SP. But I still hope I get lots of ang paos. Gimme gimme gimme! Bye!

Haven't blogged in a really long while, because I've been doing the same thing every other day since school started.
So it's break now, and I'm working at Mum's office (again!). I'm bored, so I'm trying to churn out a blog post. She doesn't like me to talk to her because I'm supposed to treat her like my superior. So meh.

Before we had our (last) MST, the class took our class photos for our Yearbook and we came up with the bathroom-PJs theme hence all our PJs and soft toys. Probably also the first time the class was enthu over a particular matter.
And as usual, after our last paper, had a celebratory dinner with Cherlyn and Pei Min at Fullhouse! I think what makes the place appealing is its interior design. Since the whole place was designed like a home, it had different areas like the living room, study room, entertainment room, party room, balcony, etc.
A pity we could only sit in the party room where it's rather bare cus apparently the place was really "fullhouse". Service wise was rather unsatisfactory. You never ever wave your customers towards you like they're your pets >: Ordered the Wok-Sear Chicken Chop - Grilled chicken thigh served with mashed potato, italy vegetables (really? Not cai xin meh?) and black pepper raisin. Food wasn't bad, but not much to rave about either. - Weekend was spent going back to The Fabulous Baker Boy for their Velvet Cake because it's so fabulous, it's to die for!!! And their iced tea mmmmmmm ;) Place was really crowded, I didn't know you had to make reservations on weekends. We were lucky, so we had the last empty table, but had to share with this another pair - the woman was really strange. Boyf said she's an air stewardess, but I've to add, a really crude and loud one hmmm. Adorable picture of my Tummy sitting at the door waiting for mum to come back on Monday night lol.
Christmas is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Christmas Wish for me to pass my Driving Test next Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYBODY PRAY FOR ME!!!!!!

Last blogged @ 12:54 AM Celebrated the boyfriend's birthday yesterday!!!
Brought him out for surprise dinner at Prive @ Keppel Island! Went there cus I thought it would be somewhere different, and I was kinda excited about it I hoped his birthday came earlier lol. And indeed, we had a good view for the night (also thankfully cus Prive reserved good seats for us) ^^ Stupid boy giving stupid faces. Introducing the types of boats: 1. Fast Boat 2. Big Boat 3. (Small) Boat that he can drive lol Birthday boy instructed me to include the above 3 pictures and I have to do so cus he's the Boss~ And for dinner we had... ... His Seafood Marinara Spaghetti, with prawns, squid (he didn't want the sotong) and mussels in a simple tomato and basil sauce. Interestingly, the spaghetti was served in a bowl. That's a first. And my Moroccan Spiced Chicken, some awesome grilled chicken boneless chicken thigh marinated in a special spice rub served with rocket, grape sauce & a couscous tossed with red onions and red peppers. What a handful name. The grapes was nice lol. To me, the portion was quite small, or maybe I was just hungry. So I granted the birthday boy a piece of cake... And he chose the New York Cheese Cake which was damn yums!!! That made dinner filling too~ Kinda enjoyed the food and the place so I'm definitely coming back for their brunch next time round! Noms. Ok, so I'm just gonna say... I bet the birthday boy enjoyed himself tremendously cus I treated him to dinner at such a nice place. And that I love him so this is the best present from me yay! ♥

Last sem of school has started, 2 weeks ago. Graduation feels so close!!! Still remember counting down the number of months left till graduation when I was in Year 1 (36 months), now... I'm just technically 4 more months till I unofficially graduate! ^^
So after 8 months of not seeing ABE, my school has now become this:
Truly built environment. No more emptier FC1, or yums yong tau foo. Couple of things that have happened over the past 2 weeks: Celebrated Pei Min's 19th Birthday with a cake! Also had sushi at Shin Tokyo after our site visit at Archifest. But the service was so meh, and the sushi wasn't fantastic. We only had a few varieties, they only made newer varieties when we were about to leave :( Playing at the swing @ Archifest lol
Then came the long weekend, really spent some quality time with people :)
Went for the Wedding Dress Exhibition @ National Museum with the boy, since it was free admission.
But frankly speaking, it was quite a letdown. The more I looked, the more they looked like curtains. I don't know how to appreciate old Victorian style dresses.
Then we took a long walk to Fort Canning Park to try the cakes @ The Fabulous Baker Boy. Got to know about them during site visit at Archifest,
Got to chill over red velvet cake, latte and iced tea yums. Cake was little pricey, but yums. The iced tea was nice tooooo.
♥Celebrated Diana's birthday on Saturday! She sprained her ankle, so we gave her a surprise at her doorstep!! And... I did my (last) NAPFA in school!!! Gosh totally aching right now. And I found out I got a bronze just because of my 2.4km ~.~ meh. But so proud of my classmates and myself for completing everything!!! Now to endure the muscle aches... Alright... will be back in a couple of weeks time!

Picnic with Bimchies today at Marina Barrage!
One last outing together before school starts next Monday T.T The girls were worried and praying that it wouldn't rain today so that we can go for our picnic cus it started raining at their side and it was rather gloomy the entire afternoon. But the gods above loved us, so it didn't rain at all, despite some lightning later in the evening. Putting my polaroid to good use again today! :) Taking forever to finish the films that I got from my birthday lol. Taught the girls how to play daidee, and we played till the sky turned dark, and talked talked talked.
All the pretty girlssssssss ;)
Took a slow long walk to MBS on our way home and passed through Gardens By the Bay. So pretty at night!!! Had to take touristy shots!
Sigh, can't believe that holidays are ending. I haven't done anything the entire holidays!!! Not ready to be back in school after 8 long months of not studying...

Food post!!!
Haven't been doing much the entire holidays (sigh). Have only been driving a lot... Quite thankful that I have no more driving lessons for the holidays cus driving every weekday for 1 month straight is too much. So other than that, I've been occasionally meeting the girls for some food and drinks during the weekends.
After dinner at Timbre last Friday to celebrate Tzu Ying's birthday with Jong and Cheng,
I met up with Gwee and Vivian on Sunday for Teoheng, Astons, followed by dessert and some drinks at The Garden Slug. What a way to spend Mooncake festival.
Ordered their signature brownie popsicles...
and The Village Tiramisu to share.
And thanks to Foursquare, both Vivian and me were entitled to free drinks from The Garden Slug so we ordered a hoegarden (which tasted like shit) and a toffee apple cider, which tasted so good! New love!!!
Much much better than beer which sucks now, I never want to drink it anymore, whereas this is so sweet and tastes like soda yums.
Just yesterday, we went on a fruit beer hunt cus Tzu Ying wanted to try, and I found Heart of House @ Tiong Bahru through google, so I met Tzu Ying and Gwee there for dinner. Very satisfied with my find!!! They have a wide range of beers and they even go the extra mile to describe the aroma and taste of the beer, very good for noobs like me.
My portion of pear cider. Good whole 500ml bottle, I had to hold in my pee on the way home lol. I was okay with the taste but the other 2 said they don't like the pear taste, maybe because their lychee fruit beer was sweeter and nicer.
Pumpkin with carrot soup, yums. Fell in love with this soup ever since I tried it in Paul @ Dubai. Who would ever expect I will like pumpkin soup hahahahaha
BBQ St Louise Pork Ribs with butter corn and fat fries. The pork ribs was so addictive omg, I didn't expect myself to finish all. And the corn... too good to be wasted. My set of cutlery on the left with the really fat knife and fork, as compared to the normal sized one. We had strawberry cheesecake for dessert too, I can't remember why I didn't take a picture, but it wasn't that much to rave about. Not your ordinary looking cake because it had yogurt ice cream and whip cream at the side, and the cake was round. But definitely can get better ones elsewhere! But overall... Food was good, and the service was fantastic too! Plus, no GST and service charge!!! Saved us quite a few monies there, while still enjoying good food and service. Okay, that's all for my food post. Here's a picture of my newly manicured nails I did few days ago at Far East. Was looking for the colour I did in Vietnam, but I guess this was much redder than the one I had previously. But very worth it for $5!

Celebrated Vivian's 19th on Saturday at Medz!
Mediterranean food, Marche style. Quite difficult to choose what to have cus it was all words, and no pictures. Plus, I didn't know what the words meant. Suakuuuuu.
Had pork ribs, rosti cured salmon and fish paellas with the boy. Yeah, what the hell is rosti and paellas lol.
Twelve cupcakes for the birthday girl! Group photo with all at dinner + the bucket of 5 weird beers that Jasper won in their bid. Headed to Bobby's @ CHIJMES for drinks & chill after that. What a weird name for a pub. Ok short post. Will be back when there's more interesting things. |
