Last blogged @ 12:54 AM Celebrated the boyfriend's birthday yesterday!!!
 Brought him out for surprise dinner at Prive @ Keppel Island! Went there cus I thought it would be somewhere different, and I was kinda excited about it I hoped his birthday came earlier lol. And indeed, we had a good view for the night (also thankfully cus Prive reserved good seats for us) ^^ .jpg)  Stupid boy giving stupid faces.  Introducing the types of boats: 1. Fast Boat  2. Big Boat  3. (Small) Boat that he can drive lol  Birthday boy instructed me to include the above 3 pictures and I have to do so cus he's the Boss~ And for dinner we had... ...  His Seafood Marinara Spaghetti, with prawns, squid (he didn't want the sotong) and mussels in a simple tomato and basil sauce. Interestingly, the spaghetti was served in a bowl. That's a first.  And my Moroccan Spiced Chicken, some awesome grilled chicken boneless chicken thigh marinated in a special spice rub served with rocket, grape sauce & a couscous tossed with red onions and red peppers. What a handful name. The grapes was nice lol. To me, the portion was quite small, or maybe I was just hungry. So I granted the birthday boy a piece of cake...  And he chose the New York Cheese Cake which was damn yums!!! That made dinner filling too~ Kinda enjoyed the food and the place so I'm definitely coming back for their brunch next time round!  Noms.  Ok, so I'm just gonna say... I bet the birthday boy enjoyed himself tremendously cus I treated him to dinner at such a nice place. And that I love him so this is the best present from me yay! ♥

Celebrated Vivian's 19th on Saturday at Medz!
Mediterranean food, Marche style. Quite difficult to choose what to have cus it was all words, and no pictures. Plus, I didn't know what the words meant. Suakuuuuu.
Had pork ribs, rosti cured salmon and fish paellas with the boy. Yeah, what the hell is rosti and paellas lol.
 Twelve cupcakes for the birthday girl!  Group photo with all at dinner + the bucket of 5 weird beers that Jasper won in their bid.  Headed to Bobby's @ CHIJMES for drinks & chill after that. What a weird name for a pub. Ok short post. Will be back when there's more interesting things.

It's been almost a month since I've bothered to visit my blog / bothered to write something / bothered to use my brains to think about what I should write. Work has been so exhausting, waking up is a problem, not enough sleep is another (despite having sufficient 8 hours of sleep daily). 2 more weeks to the end of ITP though yipppeeeeeee. So leaving off from my Birthday (which is almost 1 month agoooo) Spent the entire day with the boyfriend (who passed his driving test on the same day yayayayayay thanks to my bday luck), and I treated him to domino's pizza, and we watched The Dictator and... had 1 for 1 starbucks (which sucks omg it's not even nice). Then he treated me to a birthday dinner, and refused to tell me where he was bringing me to... sneaky boy... 
And he brought me to 1 twenty six and I made him bankrupt, then he refused to look at me :(
 Sucha nice place, it's quiet and there weren't many people and they had a live band, I couldn't remember a single bit what they were playing, but... or were they even playing...? Even their bread is warm and yumssss.  And here's my Roast baby chicken wrapped in proscuitto with truffle, raisin and pine nut stuffing served with rosemary potatoes and quince & pear compote. What a handful dish. As the name suggests, it was way tooooo much. But I like the sweet taste it had.  And his ‘126’ homemade burger with ground Angus beef, sautéed spinach, mushrooms, fontina cheese and fries. Looks small and simple, but the beef is really thick. Looks are deceiving lol.  Then we had a long walk home after that yay the end. K then just a few days later... 1 year anniversary!  Had an excursion to Gardens by the Bay. Feeling so... nature loving... But it was a money-saving idea, and Gardens by the Bay just opened 2 days before that, so I'm definitely one of the first few people who stepped into that place. Yessssssss. And I got onto the aerial skywalk yessssssssss. .jpg)   It started drizzling and there were strong winds and all when it was almost our turn to take the lift and go up. Got quite a bit worried cus I (ok, not me) paid 5 bucks for the ticket, y u no let me go up!!!!!!!!!!! But ok, the people said it should still be fine and all, so I went up and my hair got all messy, but I refused to go down until I walk my $5 worth. .jpg) .jpg)
Yay and dinner was at a special place ;) love love love the boy ♥

Have been wanting to hold a BBQ for quite some time, so here's the opportunity to do so. This year, I'm filled with gratitude. Thankful for the wonderful people and things I have in my life.  Fav photo at the moment. .jpg)
So blessed to have the boy help me out for days and bbq-ing for everyone because I cannot cook.
 And my awesome mama who paid for everything, my ahma who made a lot a lot of bazhangs and nian gaos for everyone, and my bro aka the photographer for the night. .jpg) Instax from everyone!!! Face looks damn big cannot stand it, urgh.  Favvvvvv boy

Haven't been here in the longest time. Life has been... not within my control at all.
No time to sleep, no time to play, no time to do anything I want.
So the most significant change in my life for the past few weeks was to be transferred over to the events team. And that marked the end of my very slack life in Oomph. So I'm now a part of VMSD events team. Since then, I've been piled with projects and proposals and multiple ideas to brainstorm about.
Have I mentioned how much I love Google?
Now that I have so much work to do, it feels like I can't sleep well at night at all. I go to sleep with an uneasy mind, and that definitely spoils my rest.
It's nonetheless rewarding, but those tight deadlines make me feel like I can't breathe.
Weekends have been really really precious.
The week before I transferred over to events team, met up with the poly girls to celebrate Naz's birthday at Cafe Le Caire!!!
Then met up with Gwee, Cheng and Tzu Ying the week after to have brunch, and caught Mirror Mirror at I12. Saw a junior working at Gloria Jeans and got 3 cups of cuppa for free!
 And some good popeyes feast at the airport! Then off to Gwee's house to lepak till 2am before going home to crash.  Have been trying to meet up with the boyfriend on weekends when I don't have to work since we don't meet as often now. Always time for good food :)  And finally had dinner with Tzu Ying and Jong yesterday. Always nice to end the week with good food and company. Alright, time to go back to work on my proposal. Sigh... Fortunately / Unfortunately, I'm 1/3 through this internship.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!! And so is Year 2, unofficially though...
My god, don't know how I managed to pull through these 3 weeks with 6 papers on hand.
I whined and bitched a hell lot on twitter, I must have been really whiny and annoying.
So after the papers, it's time for our customary celebratory meal with the girls again!!!
After trying malay, korean, japanese, mexican (?), chinese, this time we went for thai food! I think Siam Kitchen has become one of my favourite place to eat at. I know I always end up eating the same food over again, but that's because it's nice!
I've been craving for sour tom yum soup, but decided against it, or else I'll be overly full and broke. Shall satisfy my crave another time. But talking about it... I really want it now.
 
And us being us, spent close to 2 hours just talking about err... weird stuff as usual. We digress and digress and sometimes I worry if other people hear the content of what we're talking about, cos it's just weird.
Can't believe I won't be seeing them anymore everyday in school for the next 8 months! :(
And that today would be the last time I'm taking a train with them in a long long time.

Anyway... after my very late lunch with the girls, I went down to Pasir Ris to meet Gwee and the rest for her belated birthday dinner at Summer Breeze! ^^
And it's such a nice and breezy place, as the name already suggests, and there's not many people around. Quite awesome to go star gazing, hahaha k only because there were many stars around tonight.
  I was surprised so many of us actually play Tiny Tower. I thought it was stupid cus only bored people like me play to restock and send people up in my super fast lift lol. But err... oh well, Jaime has 126 floors omg what is that. Imma earn more money and build that many floors too!!!  I get bored of it sometimes, but it's always that surprise you get when you build a new floor, and omgomgomgomg why you give me this shop I don't even have use for it. Shit, k that sounded stupid. K, moving on... I still ordered food, like cheese salmon with white wine and butter rice. I don't know how I managed to stomach it after eating my phad thai 2 hours ago. Plus that was cheese and butter rice... mmm filling.  And we gave Gwee her present! If only it was an iPhone 4s... But we gave her an equally good and beautiful red watch!!!  And some tarts, as her birthday cake!  Now I think I like exotic cakes. Normal breadtalk, four leaves or polar cafe cakes look so meh, they don't even look appetizing. I know I'm so superficial, I go for appearances of my food. Well, I get these at a better value, so why not! Plus they look much prettier and surprising than those normal round / squared cakes which anyone would be too full after dinner to even touch or eat them. Ain't this more interesting?  And they come in so many flavours, even in durian!!! I specially bought 2! And Gwee gave me one!!! ^^ Satisfied my craving for durian!!! I thought the entire tart was filled with durian (it tasted quite good honestly), and that kept me happy for awhile. Until I realised... that the bottom half was actually egg tart. K, whatever. At least I ate durian. I'm so easily satisfied, just like that. I kid. I want moreeeeeeee!  Alright, so an awesome day spent with all the awesome people! Good food and good company! NEED to make every minute count and enjoy my short 1 week plus of holidays before I start 6 months of internship!!! |
