Last blogged @ 11:10 AM It's the time of the year again... to sum up Year 2012. 2012 has passed by so fast, I don't remember doing much. That's why Facebook is good because photos are the only way I upkeep my account and re-look what I've done. I don't think I can list 10 things I've done this year, perhaps I'll just bring everyone through the year. January 
Trip to Hanoi during Chinese New Year wasn't that enjoyable cus the place was really chaotic and... boring. Figured out that I'll probably not return back to Vietnam unless someone pays for me lol. Only plus points was the cooling weather and my nicely done manicure, maybe food but that's it.
February
 Spent a simple Valentine's Day with boyf at Indochine ;) March  Started my 22 weeks Internship, but I'll elaborate on that later. The weekend before Internship, the 2 families had a drive up to Malacca for a weekend's stay. Very suaku, cus it was my first time there. But nonetheless, a very good trip before the start of 22 weeks of hard work. May 
May was another short weekend trip up to Muar for a wedding. Yes, for my cousin who's younger than me hmmmmmm...
June
 July  First Year Anniversary with boyf ;) coming 1.5 years this very new day of 2013 ^^ October 
First ever trip to USS with boyf! Very great accomplishment cus I bravely took roller coasters for the very first time. One of the best experience in the year!
November
Spent boyf's birthday at Prive with good food and good scenery.
December
 
And I got to go on my last short getaway trip to Legoland with my girlies!! Good time spent with all of them (even though Legoland wasn't fun), but besides that, it's been a good day out with them!!
So significant events and people of the year...
Internship
 It's been very tough, considering the fact that from December 2011 till the start of 2012, I couldn't find a company that could take me in - after Pico's and IBC Asia's withdrawal, my refusal to join All Events Group, dramatic crying saga with Sally, and finally landing up in Oomph, before my transfer to VMSD Special Events Team in May. However, I was very blessed for having people to help me along the way. Working first time in an office environment was... different. Stressful and not very fun. Made me feel that I never ever want to work anymore in my entire life. But grateful that I'd learnt a lot of things. And I'll probably never forget Kopiko everrrrrrrrrrrr. Bimchies  Favourite girls to do stupid things in school, talking and laughing about stupid stuff ;) Accomplishment of the year would definitely be completing NAPFA together lol. Next accomplishment would be graduation next year!!! BV Girls  Good old friends like sisters to keep ;) Known them for years and definitely many more years to come. Looking forward to next year's Phuket trip with Gwee and Tay!!! Boyfriend 
The person who motivated me enough for me to get my driving license.
And of course, the person I spend most of my time with as you can see lol, which is highly inevitable since our houses are a road's width apart.
Times have been both good and bad, but I'm fortunate for all the times he's been there for me.
Very honestly speaking, I haven't been a very good girlfriend (but not that bad either, because it's not like he's good always), considering my bad temper and stupid tantrums, but he's still been very nice to tolerate me. So most of the time I'd think to myself, and according to what my brother says, I ain't gonna find anyone else who's gonna be that nice to me.
He's definitely become my best friend, because I can be ultimately comfortable around him - someone I can do very stupid things to, cry to, vent my frustration at, go to different places, and eat all good food with. And of course, decide who settles the bill by playing scissors, paper, stone ;), and this is really good cus I always win hohoho.
Looking forward to many more good years ahead and Phuket trip in coming April wheeeeeeeeeeee!
So I guess this pretty much sums up 2012, which started off really badly cus I remembered 2011 being a really great year for me. But seems like it ended on quite a good, neat note. Definitely looking forward to 2013 cus all the great things are coming!!!

Can feel that 2012 will be a really hectic year.
Decisions. Decisions.
This is going to be challenging.
As usual, met up with the Bedok View people for countdown at Gwee's place!
Brought the boy along too :)
Every year, the number of people just decreases, but I think the love gets stronger? ^^
Caught Sherlock Holmes to kick start the year.
I think I'm more suited for no-brainer movies.It's so swift and fast I cannot understand what Sherlock Holmes was trying to do. #dumb
Seriously didn't know whether to stay awake or just doze off during the movie. Plus the theater was so cold, I was spending half the time trying to keep myself warm.
Went back home to crash for a couple of hours when morning came.
Met the boy again to spend the first day of New Year ^^
Yessss so 2012 is here, fresh new year, fresh new start.
May 2012 bring more happiness, bliss and joy! :)

Last blogged @ 9:31 PM It's the last day of 2011 and 2012 is coming so soon, I'm not even prepared for it yet.
I still remember so clearly what I did on the last day of 2010 and the first day of this year, 2011 doesn't even feel like a year to me.
It's been a good year. I think I can feel myself putting in effort to make it good too.
I turned 18 this year.
I've learnt a lot, felt that I've grown up.
Should I say, I've learnt to fight for my own opportunities, learnt to make more decisions for myself and maybe, learnt to think.
Let's try to list what were the 10 major incidents in 2011.
1. MIKE HE
It was in the midst of exams and Mike He was coming to Singapore and nobody wanted to accompany me.
Almost wanted to abolish the thought of going to meet him, but nooooo.
I decided that I would go alone even if no one is going with me.
Best.Decision.Ever.
Not only did I get to see him in face, breathe the same air as he was breathing...
I managed to get his autograph and shake his hand!!!!! And this was entitled to only the first 50 people.
And I was number 49. Couldn't believe my luck.
BLISS.
Then I had the opportunity to go to Star Awards, in the form of a fan to support Andie Chen.
I was given 2 tickets, and brought mum to view the show because she wanted to go. Probably an awkward moment for her because she had to hold posters up and scream for Andie Chen hahahahahahaha.
Okay, here's the real deal.
Not Andie Chen.
But...
MIKE HE.
Jeovana smsed me to tell me that Mike He was coming as a awards presenter.
And... Very coincidentally, I was going to the awards!!!
What else can I say? FATE.
I was sitting so close to his fans, I could feel the hype too ^^
Can you see him waving at me? ;)
2. TAIWAN
Just days after Mike He's fan meet, on the day after exams, I was off to Taiwan!!!
Favourite.
2nd time there and I still like it. I know people get tired of me saying that I want to go Taiwan over and over again.
But... you just don't understand.
Love the place, love the food, love the shopping, love the weather, love the people, everything teehee.
Get to go to places that I wanted to cos I did my homework and planned parts of the itinerary. Very happy.
Got to see a strip tease for the first time in my life LOL. That was awfully disgusting.
Whatever it is,
MUST.GO.BACK.THERE.AGAIN.
I mean Taiwan, not the strip tease.
3. G12
Yesssss, my proud asset.
Took me months to persuade mum to allow me to get my G12, even after promising her that I would pay for it.
And finally she relented, and I got it for my birthday present (cos I delayed in paying her back).
Best thing ever.
Also did myself proud by going for the photography workshop, as well as taking up photography for Gems, so I guess my photography skills are not that shitty afterall.
4.WORK
I started helping out at mum's office.
BEST PAYING JOB EVER
and
MOST BORING JOB EVER.
Everyday, I sit there and stone. At least, life before I had an iphone was such.
2nd time I returned there to work during vacations,
Everyday, I sit there and watch videos.
I sit and get paid.
Best deal ever?
Just that, even though mum asks me to go back there to work, I'm probably never going again.
Sitting till my butt turns numb is too much of a suffering.
5. DUBAI
So I found a better job!
I think I must have been too lucky.
I was offered the chance to go to Dubai with Elaine for their Jewellery and Watch Exhibition. In other words, work as an exhibitor selling watches.
No doubt, I know nuts about watches, but so what?
I was so going.
And I did!
Air tickets, accommodation, food all fully provided. Plus, I get paid.
I must have done good deeds in my past life.
Work aside,
I went to the dessert safari, went to the sand dune, rode a camel, ate kebab under the moon in the middle of the dessert, watching a belly dancer shaking her fats right in front of me, and did henna for free.
I saw the oh-so-famous Burj Al Arab, as well as the world's tallest building. If you watched MI4, you would know :)
I'm so jealous of myself, damn.
6. MALAYSIA
As read in my previous post, I've been to Malaysia 3 times within 4 months.
The first was with Cherlyn and Naz.The 3 daring musketeers that went on a trip to Malaysia ourselves.
 And it was really really fun. Ate a lot, laughed a lot, played a lot, shopped a lot, came back broke. The second was with SP. Very short 2D1N trip. Was supposed to be a study trip, but we definitely played more than we did our work.  And just yesterday, with Gwee, Vivian, Azmin and Daanish!  Considered a rather impromptu trip, but glad everything turned out fine and fun! I think Malaysia's shopping is so cheap, it pinches my heart to buy clothes in Singapore. Okay, need to go somewhere else other than Genting and KL in Malaysia the next time round! 7. BAKING I can't cook. And maybe never in the near future. My baked potato and my bowl becomes chaota just from microwaving it. Yet, I tried something very unexpected this year. It all started when Vivian asked if I wanted to help bake a cake, and I... agreed. Well, all I did was to just follow her instructions cos frankly speaking, I was quite afraid that I get clumsy and make a mess. Turned out quite well though. So I thought, why not I do it myself? I tried, and baked one for the boy, and also one for the family. Well... Just Christmas this year, I decided that I should attempt to bake gingerbread man cookies. And well, I did put in a lot of money and effort. And I did end up throwing most of the things cos they failed quite terribly. The end result... Nobody thought it was nice. Only me. So disappointing. I have no idea whether the cookies are still in the fridge or being thrown away. I have thus decided that maybe the kitchen thing isn't my playground afterall. I'm better off just eating my food. 8.SCHOOL Stepped into the 2nd year of Poly. Awesome feeling cos I'm know I'm step closer to graduation. Year 2 seems to be flying pass, and school seems less dreadful, but still, dreadful. The most comforting moment would be when I received the Director's Honour Roll. At least there's something I've excelled in, in this school I don't feel attached to. Also on a brighter note, really grateful to have the 3 girls around with me to talk nonsense, bitch and play around with. 9. FRIENDS Wouldn't say that it's a year I've made many new friends. But rather, a year for me to keep in contact with old / current friends. Really thankful for being able to keep friends so close to me even after 2 years of graduation from secondary school. It's always difficult to find friends who can understand you, tolerate you, and be there when you need them even without telling them. And the best part is the sharing of common memories throughout the years :)
10. I'M ATTACHED.
In relevance to Point 9, this is one new friend I've made ^^ 
This is funny.
I don't know how to go about writing this.
Neighbour? Friend's friend? Schoolmate? The guy on the train?
K, it just happened.
From "my neighbour" to "my boyfriend",
mum says we're funny people.
Also, should I say,
being in a relationship has made me grow up too.
Securities aside, there's always the need to find independence, to find balance, to find understanding.
Independence to prevent over-reliance;
Balance between friends, family and him; balance between work and play;
Understanding between words and emotions that may not be expressed.
No doubt, these 6 months has been good with him around ;) - So there goes my year 2011. Probably many more other significant things that I would have listed, but these are the current ones that are going through my mind. Hopefully 2012 will be equally as good, cos I really enjoyed 2011 and felt that I was really living my own life. New Year Resolutions? Probably for me to become more independent, better tempered, less judgmental, love more, give more, forgive and forget, and be myself. Here comes 2012, and... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Labels: New Year

Last blogged @ 11:38 PM Continued... Met up with the girls - Yin Xuan, Jasmine and Karen at Vivo in the afternoon cos we're going to USS!!! Finally executing this plan of ours cos it's been all talk and no action. Eggcited much!!! Made our way down to Resort World Sentosa at around 5! (I'm not suaku anymore. I've finally been to RWS. Hur hur hur) Instant effect of making me feel like I'm in another country. Hmmm... Feels rather awesome!!! We definitely took photos of the "Universal" globe!   And weaved ourselves through the shops - Hersheys and Candylicious! Went to queue for tickets at 6 cos the queue was getting longer!  And went to sit outside the gate before they let us in at 7.  Passed each other our presents!    So finally!!! Went pass the gates and we're in USS!!! *plays music* Settled our dinner first at Mel's Dine-in. First fast food meal for 2011!!! When you're in a good mood, and in a good place with good company, everything is good!!!
Then we started our tour around Hollywood! Everything's so pretty. And in total, we took about 300 pictures? Awesome much!!! Camwhore like siao. Totally run out of poses. And people kept staring at us cos we were doing absolutely retarded poses. And they just standby and laugh at us. Whatttt?
Joined the crowd at 930 for some spectacular fireworks. Like nice only!!!
Walked around a little more then we left the place. Been a totally fun filled evening!!!
In summary: I've got a feeling, that 2011 will be a good good year~ |
