Last blogged @ 10:09 PM Guess what's all these pretty looking food?  Awwww yeahhhh.DURIAN BUFFET WITH CHERLYN AND PEIMIN TODAY!!! Like a mad excited only!!! Can you imagine, all the pastries have durian in them?!?! TOTAL HEAVEN. 've been waiting for this day to come since 1 week ago, sooooo happy omg. We 3 act like Tai Tais going for High Tea at Carlton Hotel. Epic fail only. Let me explain... Before that... Look at this. Omg. Durian filling. Omnomnomnomnomz.  So we had flying crumbs, a macaroon that collapsed, dropping food, and falling cream that ended up squashed. *face palm*  And we wondered why people could still gracefully eat with their fork and knife machiam eating western food. Ain't you supposed to use your hands to eat durian?!?! Guess those are the true blue Tai Tais. I belong to the roadside eating durian. Trying everything else...  Frankly speaking, other than the durian, the pastry itself didn't really taste that good.  Took a break from eating, and we studied the menu. The buffet's quite worth the money since we tried everything on the menu and it totaled up to almost $40. And we paid only $22 per person after discount.   Sick of having too much durian already, other fruits to the rescueeeee.  I told myself I cannot leave the place without trying the durian pengat. Well, the article recommended that durian lovers will have more than 1 bowl of this.Errrr... I only took a scoop for 3 to share. And we only took a few spoonfuls each. Not that it's bad. It's really rich, like really ALL durian. But... meh, overwhelmed with too much durian already.  Pity didn't get to try the ice cream. They had so many types of mix in. Ahhhh regretting now. Didn't stay till the end of the high tea buffet, like how I thought I would (LOL).   We ended up travelling to Golden Mile Complex. And I think some people just made me feel like a dumb kid or something -.- When I confirmed with the bus uncle whether I needed to cross the road, he replied me, "ask you go over, of course must cross road right!" Like WHATTTTTTTT. Fine lor. And he very kindly asked us to alight at a stop where the traffic lights were so farrr away. Jaywalking somewhere near the highway was much of a cheap thrill. So exciting that when we got over to the other side of the road, we saw a sign - "Fatal accident". Naise. Urghhh and the guy whom I asked for travel rates (including room rates) think he very funny or something. Still can tell me, "of course got include room right. If not where you want to sleep?!" :( Anyway, if you're wondering why the hell I'm at Golden Mile, we girls are planning a trip to Malaysia after exams it's making me oh-so-eggcited I think I forget I have exams wth. Haven't told Dad about it, but I really hope he will let me go. If he doesn't... *bang wall and die* - Okk feels good to be blogging. BYE. |
