Last blogged @ 1:14 AM TAIWAN DAY 8!!! Last day already! Sad max!!! Last few photos inside the service apartment!!!      Checked out in the morning before we go our separate ways. Check out our FULLY packed car! There's more bags in the front!!!  Yeah, so UJ drove me and mum back to Ximending to do some last minute shopping!!! Actually we had the entire morning plus half the afternoon till 3 to shop. And the rest of them went to run some errands + meet Pastor Paul so we'll meet them straight at Taoyuan airport at 4pm. No shopping for them, too bad!!! No photos of us shopping cos too busy! But I bought more this day than the previous day! Went to eat 阿宗面线 for lunch! Yummmmmm. Decided to not spend too much time on lunch so we could shop more ^^    Then we tried our last 葱抓饼 in Taiwan :( But this one tasted bad. It wasn't even nice cos it was salty! I think the guy took our order wrongly. Oh well. Walked around somemore and decided it was time to leave cos we had already covered the main areas. Plus we had a train to catch!  So goodbye Ximending!!! May we meet again soon!!!  Taking a train back to our service apartment there (just one stop away!!! See how much I love the place we stay at!!!).  Then just within the MRT station, it links to the High Rail Station! How convenient!!! So excited cos it's my first time taking the High Rail! My pass ^^  And the train we were going to catch! Taoyuan is just 2 stops away! Yay and going to board the train!!!   Then from the High Rail station, we still have to take a bus to the airport.So fun! Taking all sorts of transport in one day!!! From car to train, to high rail then the bus, and finally the plane!!!  We reached kinda early, so we went to buy Burger King!!!Some fast food after 7 days! Frankly speaking, the overwhelming smell of the 鲁肉 makes you feel sick sometimes. It's lingering everywhere, even in the maggi mee! Blah blah blah. I think I was the only one who didn't say bye to Pastor Paul cos I was busy eating!!! Checked in and then went to have early dinner! Finally!!! I got to drink my 珍珠奶茶! Very expensive one somemore!!!  And finally, the last photo taken in Taiwan!!! Still food!  Reached Singapore past midnight. Our flight was delayed a little. Which made me happy cos I could stay in Taiwan a little. So sad when the plane took off, make me wanna cry :( I'll be back, Taiwan!!! And this concludes my 8 days in Taiwan!!! I LOVE TAIWAN!!! Labels: Taiwan

Last blogged @ 9:26 AM TAIWAN DAY 7!!!
2nd last day already :( And photos are minimal these last 2 days cos I'm busy shopping ^^ Anyway, on this day, UJ, YY and BYY went to Pastor Paul's church at Taoyuan. So mum, Carynn and me slept in. Walau wasted half a day cos I woke up at like 11?! And after Carynn came over, we were trying some cool experiment - trying to change our heat pack back into liquid form cos its badly solidified and I happened to find the instruction manual. Cos we wanted to go back to Shilin to confront the person for cheating our money. LOLOL.     And when they came back to pick us up at 1+, we went to Ximending!!! Happy only!!!Decided to have lunch first! Mini steamboat!   And UJ went to buy carrot cake! It's like our carrot cake, just that they have this sauce. And it's damn awesome to eat in sucha cold weather. And one thing you cannot don't buy to try - 苦瓜juice! It's the awesome-mest thing ever!  Blah blah blah, and shopping time! So no time for pictures!!!After an hour or so, UJ, YY, BYY and Carynn decided to go somewhere else to buy other things. So only mum and me were left at Ximending! Bought a couple of clothes. Didn't have enough time to shop cos they were picking us up early evening. And before that, I quickly rushed to 7-eleven to buy my favourite Yakult! Green tea with aloe vera!!!  Drove to Taipei 101 for dinner!     Dinner at the food court! Actually we were supposed to drive back to Ximending for more shopping. But I kinda realised that Wufenpu was really near 101, so we decided to go there to shop instead.As usual, actually nobody wanted to go shop cos everyone was either tired or sick. But they just couldn't resisted going shopping in the end.  And in the end, I was the disappointed one cos most of the clothes there weren't suitable for me! :( So end up, YY and Carynn were the biggest buyers! I was so bored. Zzz.  And the shop that had my name!Too bad the shop didn't have clothes that suit me, otherwise I wanted to ask for discounts :P   And end of Day 7!!! Short post cos it's shopping day!!! Labels: Taiwan

Last blogged @ 11:09 PM TAIWAN DAY 6!!!
九份 in the morning! Happy cos I'll get to eat a lot of Taiwan 小吃! I was quite eager to go find my 珍珠奶茶. 2nd time there, but I still like it there!  Passed by this shop selling all the 特产. We bought a carton of food!  And this! We were all amazed how round the pancake thingy was when the person squeezed it out!  I had mine with chocolate ice cream! Very awesome for the cold weather! But the ice cream didn't have much taste :/   And then we go to 阿源, a shop selling soap, toothpaste and other stuff. And look at this carving made of soap! So cute right!  And this cat lazing on the pile of soaps.  Whee and time for sausages. It's so awesome, you don't eat it, you'll regret!  Then nearing the end of the street, we went to a teahouse for tea!   Look at the pretty view while we were on our way there.    Place we had tea at...  I like this photo of mum here... A little pity cos it's blur...   Teaching us how to prepare our oolong tea.    View from the teahouse!  The full tea set. We all love the cat figurine! It's a hao lian cat!! ^^  Look at the different cats. Guess how much one costs?!  S$50!!! :OOOOO And look at the bigger ones! Looks a lot like 九孔!   And the place we had lunch! As shown in my first picture of the post. Their fishballs are awesome!!! I had lunch the first time I came here too! And look how packed it is!  Table full of food ^^ Shared a bowl of noodles with UJ and I had my 鲁肉饭 again! I ate the most 鲁肉饭 ever man.  Hehe more cats. 九份 is relatively famous for their cats!  So we leave 九份 and head to Yangmingshan, 阳明山 to see flowers. Apparently we got lost (?) and stopped somewhere to ask for directions. However, the person said that Yangmingshan is really crowded now cos everybody's there to see the flowers. We won't have problems going up, but the authorities might not let us come down in the evening cos of heavy traffic. Only the locals will be able to leave. So we decided against going up. So no more yangmingshan :( And check out our very dirty car, that we never bothered to wash, even though we could get a free car wash when we pumped petrol.   So we decided to go to 渔人码头 cos I want to see the Lover's Bridge, 情人桥! Similarly we got lost and ended at some ulu ulu place. But we discovered many pretty things along the way and finally found 渔人码头! Yay so pretty!       Look at all the fried fooddddddddd.   And a picture of the only couple in our group!   After 渔人码头, drove to 淡水 so I can go to my night market again! ^^ But UJ and YY didn't join so they stayed at starbucks instead :/ Check out these spongebob 鸡蛋糕! Such a pity I didn't buy it to try!    Bought one of my favourite 葱抓饼! Add egg also don't need money ^^ so awesome!   And after walking around, we decided to go try this 黑豆花. But we never figured out how the 黑豆花 looks like.   Do you see any black 豆花 here?!?! So apparently, it's all in white colour...Ah yes, I haven't mentioned that I didn't get to buy my 珍珠奶茶 in 九份. So I had 珍珠 in my 豆花!  And before leaving, I just had to go buy this Cheese potato thing. I saw a long queue so I wanted to go try. I had the signature dish. And meh, it's fried potato + mashed potato + lots of cheese + bacon + pineapple + corn + brocolli and I don't know what else! I was kinda full so I kinda freaked out by it. And I stuffed it down my stomach in agony. I didn't finish it of course, and kind of left it for breakfast the next day (even so, I didn't finish it).  And while walking to the carpark, we saw this 街头艺人 扯铃ing. Very li hai leh! And we were the group that cheered the loudest for him. Hurhurhur!  And on our way back to our service apartment, we saw this statue of liberty on top of this deserted or abandoned building. That got us quite excited for awhile. Hahaha. And that's the end of Day 6!!!
