TAIWAN DAY 4!
Half of the trip already...

And here's our chalet-look-alike room for 6. It's supposed to be Japanese style, but the only thing I can find related is the "tatami"s that we slept on.

It's super dusty can!

And we're leaving Wuling!

Oh! Breakfast that morning was also buffet style. And they had the best porridge!!!
Assorted porridge! Got ah ma 的味道. Easily 3 bowls down my stomach!

And last look at the pretty Cherry Blossoms!

Kay, we didn't stay in these pretty rooms.
They got their own carpark lot somemore!

We only can stand outside and take pictures.

Okay, so we leave Wuling, and head straight up to Wulai, 乌来 very near Taipei.
And we meet the fog on the roads!
UJ thought it was fumigation. LOL, but on the mountains?
It was a long ride through the fog...

In the city area already so we see more normal roads and not winding roads. @.@
And check out this super cool motorist! His bike has the windscreen wiper at the front. LOL.
Ah yes. YY said we should stop by Toucheng, 头城 for lunch. But this restaurant caught our eyes when we were in Yilan, because we didn't know how to pronounce the words of the signature dish. So we stopped to try.

And apparently, it's quite a famous restaurant cos many celebrities actually go there. Like 张菲.

And this is the famous chicken! They cook it in this huge urn.

And they don't chop the chicken up for you.
Instead, they give you gloves and you're supposed to tear it up yourself.
But, the adults didn't want to try it :/ so we requested for them to chop it up for us.

But the person said must tear then nice, so he offered to do it for us.
So we all very excitedly prepare our camera to watch good show.
Preparing to tear up the chicken.
Last goodbyes...

Our chicken being mutilated...

Tadah!!! Ready to eat!!!

I personally think it was not bad. But the others said it was kinda salty.
6 of us couldn't finish one chicken. So I don't know how the other table ordered 2 for 4.

And then just a in an hour or so (?), we reached Wulai!!!
Oh, and it was drizzling, so I was kinda afraid that it will still rain when we reach Taipei. Then I'll be so sad! Cos we were blessed with good weather for the previous days, I didn't want my trip in Taipei to be wet and damp :(

And this is the very cute deco they had in the carpark basement!

And the lobby!
View from the hotel lobby.
And this is our room!
And by the way, Wulai is the only hotel we stayed in during our entire Taiwan trip. LOL.
Expensive also cos of the hot springs and I think Landis is a rather reputable hotel!

This is the hot spring tub which kinda scares me.
I think the entire toilet scares me cos it's all so square and solid.
And full of dull colours machiam you are in jail.
Not like the one in 知本老爷 that I went last Taiwan trip, the hot spring tub is a small little wooden tub!
Ah, and I got kinda upset over some matters.

YY was so excited about the hot spring, that after we checked in, she just happily told us to enjoy our hotel room and the hot springs.
Meh, I was kinda pissed cos there were much more things to do in Wulai. And it's like only 4 plus 5 in the afternoon?! I can't be soaking in the hot spring the entire evening and night right!
I wanted to go to see the old street and the waterfall so badly.
So I got kinda angry and went to take a dump. Okay, irrelvant. But I think the food in Taiwan kinda makes me suffer from constipation.
Well anyway, after much persuasion, they finally decided to take a look at the Old Street and I was happy ^^
Afterall, I made the suggestion to come to Wulai okay! Why the hell would someone drive all the way here to soak in the hotel room?!
-
Okay, moving on to Wulai Old street.
This is Taiwan's rubbish trucks that will sing song one ^^
And this is the awesome view you see! You can see these in Wiki when you research on Wulai!

丝瓜 that you can buy to scrub yourselves in the hot springs.

The street...
And we see this super cute dog!

Then we see this guy who was making sweets,葱糖.
So he pull...
And pull...

And pullllllll... Until it's so loooooooong...

And tadah!!! It's done!!!

And we bought this 海燕窝 thing. It's so nice to drink!!! Totally love!
And the lady was so friendly! She kept refilling our cups. And even told us to just take more samples to drink, so we don't have to bother spending money to buy drinks from other shops.

Awesome or what!!!
I think each person at least drank 10 cups from her. Not surprising okay!
From small sample cups upgrade to our normal plastic cups. You want what, she give you what.
(Y)(Y)(Y)!
The 4 adults drinking under the shelter.
Saw this in the carpark! Like coooool. Should have dressed more rocker like \m/

And it's dinner time!!! Japanese food!
In the hotel's restaurant!

The menu...

Okay, but the food was urghhhh... Not at all Japanese.
Just the presentation was good.

The dessert was nice though!

And after dinner, it's really hot spring time!!!
And BYY invited us to their room to share the hot spring tub with them so it's more fun! The more the merrier!!!
This way, we can also save water cos the tub is so huge.
So I brought my maggi mee over too ^^
BYY had already started filling up the tub. But the hotel didn't give us a thermometer so we didn't know what was the temperature! And she filled up half the tub with HOT water.
And it was BOILING HOT!
Took us such a LOOOOOONG time before we finally got ourselves inside. I think it must have definitely been over 42 degrees. Cos I remember 38 degrees being the most comfortable. But that tub of boiling water was definitely... erm... hot...

I think it was so hot that I kinda felt a little giddy. Probably cos of poor ventilation.
And I started itching all over. Mehhhh.
-
Guess what I found inside the hotel room!!!
MAGGI MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
The rest of them were laughing at me cos I finally am able to fulfill my craving for maggi mee after my failed and desperate attempt for searching for it the day before.
So after bath, we went back to BYY's room for supper!!!
Yay! Taiwanese Maggi mee!!!
The price states NTD20 so it's prolly about 80 cents only, and the portion is like double what we have in Singapore's cup noodles!!!
Taiwan fruits to go with Taiwan maggi mee and Taiwan tv shows!!!

Paradise~~~
Yay okay end of Day 4!!!
