TAIWAN DAY 2!
Morning view from our room that overlooks part of Sun Moon Lake.

Breakfast prepared by the homestay. I loveeeeee the porridge! There's bits of potato inside. You'll probably think very kiam siap cos it's like almost non-existent. But then, you'll be surprised cos I think I ate 3 bowls of it. Hiahiahia.

Then we went out for a boat ride around Sun Moon Lake cos the homestay offered cheaper prices.
Walking past the old street to get to the "jetty".
Okay, see our yatch in the distance!

This is pastor paul's son, Caleb. Can you believe he's on 10 years old?!

He's really tall for his age and you keep forgetting that he's 10. So it's kinda weird when he acts childish-ly and all.

He kinda looks and acts like my bro.

Okay, maybe you can try referring to my picture and see if there's some similiarity, but I highly doubt so. LOL.
Climbing up the small mountain to see the temple at the top.

Okay, taking another photo with a "supposedly famous stone?" This is for sure, bigger.

And this is like the 许愿 thingy that you write on. And this is one of the funny ones that we came across.

And going back to our yatch already.

Didn't get to try 阿婆铁蛋 because it was still too early.

Back to mainland and back to eating again. Seriously eat everything we see.
Bought freshly squeezed orange juice cos we saw the way they squeezed the orange was damn cool. Seriously cos of that.

Then we bought 瓜子 and the very nice auntie just let us eat from her BIG container of 瓜子. I don't know how to describe the container. It's like as high as your waist?

Then we had muah chee. And the lady gave us an extra muah chee.
I love the Taiwanese! They are so friendly and so generous.
Singaporeans will just stare at you and ask you to go and die.

Mad love!!!

Checked out and then we went to catch their local cultural dance performance. We were the only few audiences there. Had to clap extra loud to show our support.

Then they started inviting the audience to go up and dance with them.

Singaporeans being Singaporeans, all paiseh shy shy don't want go up - act tired lah, act sick lah, all the stupid excuses all come out. I admit I also like that. I refuse to look at the people.

So we pushed mum (our line dance enthusiast) and Pastor Paul up.

And time flies man. Take boat ride and watch performance and it was afternoon already @.@

So we drove down to 鱼池 to have lunch at 真满姨.

This place was also like a small little town full of homestays.

All the different types of homestays with different themes.

And we sat outside! Like cooooool.
It's like having lunch in a yard, in the middle of nowhere.
And they had this small little playground, so I went to play with Caleb and his elder bro (whom I don't know his name, walau paiseh).

Then we left to see the Taiwan 228 Earthquake Museum.

So awesome I still get to enjoy student fares. And the adult pass is already damn cheap like 60NT? Only S$2+! Our museums also not that cheap lor!!!

The museum is built beside this school that was a "victim" of the earthquake. So they preserved all of the destruction done by the earthquake so whatever we saw was all real.

All other pictures are on facebook, so you can go see. It's all debris and falling buildings. Kinda magnificant, like woahhhh.
Then we had this tour guide to bring us around in the museum. He kept asking if we were rushing for time, so he damn kan chiong and rushed us through all the different galleries. Even though, we said we weren't exactly pressed for time, but he just did.

Then nearing the end, he sent us into this cinema like room to watch a 3D video, which we all thought it was something to do with the earthquke.

Who knew......................

It was actually a stupid cartoon showing this alien like thingy like CJ7 that brought this human boy to Mars to play -.-

Wanted to fall asleep so badly, but I was afraid I would miss out the part if they EVER mentioned anything about earthquakes.

Totally cheat my feelings.

Then we went on to try this earthquake stimulator thing that showed us what exactly happened during the 228 Earthquake, which was 11 years ago?

So after the museum, we went to see this 圆满大教堂 (?) on top of some mountain cos Pastor Paul said that it was built by this super rich man.
The man built a temple first, but his wife not happy, so he built this church.
It's SUPER HUGE!!!

And guess what?

The church was never used -.-
I think now they do use it, for filming purposes.

We saw a couple doing their wedding photoshoot there too.

Then we finally moved on to our destination. Pastor Paul and family had to return to Taoyuan already so we were officially on our own!!! (Any my butt can stop cramping so I'm happy!!!)

We pushed forward our itinerary cos we were supposed to stay at Sun Moon Lake for 2 days, but YY didn't find much to do there, so we moved on to 玛格丽特山庄, another homestay.

And on our way, we stopped by Family Mart and I quickly rushed to get my magazine. I've wanted to get one so that I can read it on during the car trips.

But by the time I got it, the sky was already turning dark so I can only look at the pictures :(
So we drove up ANOTHER mountain for a few hours and kinda got lost cos it was dark and we didn't see where the homestay was.

We just kept wow-ing at this pretty hotel - "Old England".

My camera kinda sucks at night so this picture does no justice to Old England at all.

So the homestay people, being very nice people, sent the driver to pick us up from where we stopped, which was "Old England" and he directed us to the restaurant.

The place was like a small little cottage. And they used very pretty utensils!

Make me happy only!!!

I only took the picture after dinner cos the weather was so cold and we were all starving :P
And hot chocolate after dinner damn shiok!!! I like the pretty cup :>

Then we drove back up to our homestay and checked in.
Mine, mum, Carynn, and BYY stayed in the typical room for 2.
While UJ and YY stayed in the honeymoon suite which was much bigger than ours!
Ours so tiny we didn't have space to put our luggage.

But I like the deco :> I love cosy roooooooms. Just that when you get queen / king sized bed like this, mum suffers cos I tend to practice taiji when I sleep :P

And once again, presenting to you my beloved tv ^^

I keep having the habit of comparing the size of my tv to others. Hehheh.

Okay, DAY 3 UP NEXT!!!
