I've officially graduated from VMSD after 6 long months of working there!!!
So... my whole point of extending for 2 more weeks after my internship was to go back and do the KOPIKO event since I haven't had much event exposure in my 6 months.
Well, to sum it up... It was mad tiring, but still very fulfilling. Got such a love-hate relationship with KOPIKO candies now.
So it all started off with going to the factory at Kranji to count KOPIKO, and... sticking 40,000 candies onto 20,000 flyers. And it took me / us 3 whole entire days to get this done.
So this was what happened the night when me, Gwee, Louise, Steph & friend, Megan and boyfriend came down to help finish up the flyers, and we all stayed till 3am in the office to get this done. Coupled with beers, pizzas, kfc to last through the night. But thinking back, it was quite fun and not that bad afterall...
So finally... after the event setup at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, the event started rolling~
And this was the Green Screen Booth I was in charge of for the whole 2 days. Definitely the most popular activity at the event ;) And the most impressive structures that I've seen at the warehouse before they were being transported here. Damn, they were so huge I could swim in them. Before: After: Yes, and my job involves climbing into the fish tank to arrange KOPIKO candies and get my pictures taken by all my bosses and managers and colleagues hahahahahaha. Yeap... so I was really thankful in a way for being able to be committed to this KOPIKO project, from the initialisation to its execution, it was probably a good whole 3-4 months. - And definitely, in a way, I'm thankful to have been attached to VMSD special events team for my internship. From the entire saga of PICO withdrawing from the Internship programme, to IBC Asia not accepting me last minute, and me refusing to go to Lavender to work, finally getting into OOMPH, but transferred to VMSD Special Events after a month, I would say that I'm glad that everything happened for me to have learnt so much in the end. I have met good bosses who appreciate my help for the past 6 months, to teamies and colleagues whom really treated me as part of the company. Working life for the past 6 months has been tough... Felt like I haven't got time to do anything else. So I'm (temporarily) glad that I'm jobless now. So, goodbye VMSD, we will meet again when fate comes around. Labels: Work |
